compensation for gay partners of 9/11 disaster

I am extremely upset that the money to help families of victims is not
available to gay and lesbian partners of the gay and lesbian victims. These
people have suffered as much and in fact more in that they are being ignored
and typical benefits accorded to widowed spouses is not available to these
people. Something must be done to correct this injustice. These people are
not second class americans. There are so many people who are being
helped-including mere businesses and illegal aliens yet the fact these
americans are left out is an outrage. How can we do this to these poor
people!
