I am responding to the article in the San Diego Union Tribune stating that
public opinion is invited. I have given money out of my pocket to the
victims or rather what I was told was going directly to the victims and
lately I feel a little less united and a little more angry. I am getting my
first sense of comfort from the article stating that the government is
planning on dispensing the money to the victims directly. We have the
records, applications or not, and we know their story because it is public
record and researchable. Take the money and help them out. NO amount of
money is too much. They need to mourn and focus on the family they have
left, not be filling out applications and fighting to get help. We need to
take the burden off of them and support them. We have enough educated
people around that would be happy to help.
