discrimination is unAmerican!

Dear September 11 Victim Compensation Fund:

I have read that your Fund is not going to provide the
same benefits to gay and lesbian partners of victims
of the 9-11 tragedies, as to straight persons. I feel
that discrimination is VERY un-American.

I and many others are sincerely outraged that gay and
lesbian partners of those who died on September 11 are not automatically going
to receive the same benefits as heterosexual spouses.
It is an INSULT that tax paying Americans, just
becuase they are gay, wont be getting benefits that
ILLEGAL ALIENS are going to get.

Is this true? What is the explanation for this policy?
