911DA Story: Story
Wow... I can't believe it's been five years already. The sights, the sounds, and the emotions are still fresh in my mind. It seems like just yesterday. I've been watching various television shows that have been shown throughout the week. I realized, that on that day five years ago, I didn't cry. I was shocked and amazed, but not sad. I don't think I could take it all in until seeing the images within the following week. Now when I see them I cry. I can't imagine an evil so great as to take thousands of innocent lives... in their prime. What is the matter with people?
Today my American flag is flying high at my home. I am watching CNN's pipeline of unedited newscoverage from that day, as well as other news stations to watch the memorials. Last night I prayed for the families of victims (as I do every 9/11) and asked God to help them make it through the day. Today is a day for remembrance, and that is what I'm doing.
GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.
